Fearless
Each Spring brings new life as the colder weather begins to fade, and the days lengthen. It is fun to watch, and the ducklings seem to grow up before our very eyes. The first few days, they follow their mother carefully, never daring to leave her side. However, as the days turn to weeks, they begin to wander a few feet away, still under the watchful eye of mom. There is always one chick that gains the confidence to wander first, proving that safety can exist beyond a 3 foot radius. This is that fearless chick, having fun wandering around in a puddle. Though this day, she was alone, by the next day the same puddle was full of her siblings, exploring the world fearlessly.
